Chunky Chook makes some of the best crunchy fried chicken in the West! Reminds me of other chicken places in town, but closer to home (and just as good, if not better!).
Their chicken is really juicy and tender, with a really crisp battered crust. I do enjoy the flavours they bring to both the chicken patties (especially their spicy chicken burger) and the chips. Subtle but noticeable.
Always a great choice for lunch or dinner, and the amazing team there make it worthwhile.
Moved to the peninsula not long ago. GF told me she was keen on burguers so I walked in this place not knowing what to find.
I was very well welcomed by the guy at the counter who explained me things, asked and gave suggestions. Got a special with chicken and fries, karage and a cheese burguer.
Short after I ordered, people were queuing to order which seems have a decent amount of customers (made me think food was good).
Opened up at home and burguers were so tasty. Fries and chicken on spot. It was delicious. I will def come back. 100% recommended.
First time here. We came to watch our son’s game in the area and needed to fuel up on food after and found this spot.
Owner has good customer service. Very friendly and recommended a dish butter honey, which my son & I ate and enjoyed. Big Bird Burger was yummy as. Fried chicken was delicious.
Over all we loved this spot and my family will be back again for more.

We were looking for an easy dinner while walking along the Peninsula and ended up here. They have a series of fried chicken sets. We grabbed a few along with onion rings and rice. The place is mostly a takeaway palace with no place to eat the food. The seating is primarily for waiting for orders.
The chicken was either drumstick or thigh. Both cuts were nice and the meat was quite juicy. The portion itself wasn't bad. It is a nice option for fried chicken, although they also did have other items like burgers.
